About Simon Oldfield
Simon Oldfield Gallery aims to work with the very best artists and realise ambitious projects across multiple locations.
We have exhibited work by Ben Ashton, Polly Morgan and Katy Kirbach and soon we will open our new space at 9 Henrietta Street with New Symphony showing work by Tim Ellis, Katie Cuddon, Sam Plagerson and Douglas White.
At the end of 2009 we curated Ben Ashton’s first solo show in a former monumental stonemason’s showroom. Ashton exhibited new paintings and sculptures that explore the notion of celebrity throughout history.
Katy Kirbach has recently exhibited in the annual Premiums show at the Royal Academy in February 2010. Tim Ellis’ latest series is to be exhibited in Saatchi’s “Newspeak: British Art Now” and Ben Ashton has recently exhibited alongside Antony Gormley.
We use part of our profit to support charitable organisations including the Whitechapel Gallery. In addition, we run a subsidised studio programme for emerging artists, which has recently been extended to provide studio/living accommodation for Yane Calovski in support of the Contemporary Art Society’s centenary programme.
